From a young age I was inspired by the colour, structure and texture of everything from jewellery and fabrics to buildings and machinery.

Hunting through my Mother’s and Grandmother’s jewellery boxes, sparked a fascination with semi-precious stones and their settings. On family holidays by the sea, I would always seek out the local jewellery shops looking for an interesting ring to add to my growing collection.

The thrill of customising clothes to my taste during my teens, led to a desire to gain the skills to make my own accessories.

I studied at London College of Fashion, where the jewellery workshop became my second home.

I went on to study jewellery and silversmithing at Central St. Martins college and developed my design and making skills in silver and beading.

I continued my jewellery training at City Lit in London, and then worked for the UK’s leading jewellery school, in Carnaby Street, where I was a senior jewellery trainer.

I now design and make my own jewellery collections,  selling them through independent gift shops across London.

Abigail’s Bead Company is now proud to be available online for you, and I hope you love the pieces as much as I do.
